The dark forest of the internet, earlier this week
I've tried (and failed) several times to start a blog, but for one reason or another I've never got into the habit, despite keeping notes on all sorts of stuff, and being an enthusiastic user of what, in a more innocent age, was called microblogging (via Twitter, Tumblr etc).
But inspired by both Paul Watson and Robin Sloan (and with a secondary impetus from Brennan Day, as suggested via the aforementioned Mr Watson), I've decided to try again, using a website that
- I have complete control over and
- fails miserably on most points in terms of wider web functionality.
